AZOMITE™ is a complete source of trace elements but contains very few macronutrients like Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P). It should be applied with compost, humus, manures or other fertilisers to complete the full range of nutrients required by plants.
The following application rates are suggested based on research or past usage. If higher mineralisation is desired, apply at up to four times the suggested rate. The natural minerals in AZOMITE™ will not burn the plants.
- General Fertiliser & Field Crop Application – An initial application of 150Kg / Ha and an annual maintenance level of 75Kg-100Kg / Ha per year depending on soil type. In regions with much depleted soils or over 25 years continuous crop removal – a higher dose of AZOMITE™ will be necessary. In these cases, an initial dose of 300Kg / Ha with a follow up application of 150Kg / Ha will be necessary.
- Vegetables & Flowers – Use when preparing the soil at the rate of 1Kg / 1Sq.m. If in rows, mix with seed or starter plant and apply at the rate of 1Kg / 7.5m of row. If bed is established, sprinkle around each plant. A follow up application of 0.5Kg / 1Sq.m or 0.5Kg / 7.5m of row.
- Grapes, Roses & Shrubs – 20g / 1 litre of pot size (root ball). Apply 4 times per year around each vine or bush and lightly till into soil.
- Lawns – For new lawns, mix 0.5Kg / 1Sq.m of seed bed. For established lawns, broadcast 0.5Kg / 3Sq.m before watering.
- Gardens – Apply 1Kg / 1Sq.m. A follow up 0.5Kg / 1Sq.m per year.
- Citrus & Other Trees – Soil pH should be 6.5 or lower (Acidic). Apply annually to all trees on ground surface under drip line irrigation if present. Apply at a rate of 0.5Kg / tree for small trees and gradually work up to 2Kg / tree per year.
- Home Plants – Initially add 30grams, then 30g 4 times / year, per 4 litre pot
