Rice Paddy Trial - Sidrap, South Sulawesi, Indonesia
- December, 2005
Initial reports indicate the stouter crop in a shorter
growing season might translate into perhaps another planting cycle,
or significantly larger yields with the present situation.
A count of the stamens where the rice grains form showed
there were 28.8% more stamens per square metre than controls. In addition
the plants are larger so there will probably be either more or larger
rice grains, or perhaps both.
We will be able to calculate the economics as soon as
we get actual "RICE" production results.
